In the Summer of 2026 I had the pleasure of working with artist Kate Ten Eyck on her TunnelVision project in the heart of Connecticut. The project seeks to decorate the walls of a pedestrian tunnel passing under the Route 9 highway with mosaic-murals to celebrate the rich history of Middletown Connecticut. I helped with the construction and storage of mosaics as well as created a cohesive brand identity for the project while working as an intern for Kate.
The project is a labor of love that calls for fundraising in addition to working with the City of Middletown. To prepare Kate for the next phase of the project I worked with her to create a cohesive brand identity and style guide that could be used to ensure that presentations and other materials related to the project were all cohesive.
With the help of a coworker, the styles were then applied to several promotional materials related to the project.
